Guests invited to the group won't be visible in Teams, and they don't seem to be able to access the group or files either.

Hello

I have a user who reported this issue to us.

Invited Guests are not visible in the group. Guests also cannot access the group or files in it. In the Azure portal, you can see all guests, but they are not visible in Teams. All guests invited by email. The error came suddenly. All guests have been able to access the surface before without any problems.

The same issue occurs in the web client. For a brief moment when we tried deleting and adding the guests again we could se them

But when we reloaded the page they where gone. It appears to only happen to guests. Tried adding members and owners without result.

The error on the screenshot says: You must have access rights to the team or channel. Try contacting the team owner or administrator.

I have checked and rechecked the permissions and guests should have access. Another thing to note is that when i removed and re-invited the guests they didn’t receive any invitation e-mails.

And if I check the guests in Azure only some have accepted the invite, none of them can be seen in the team though.

    According to your description, I have the following questions to confirm with you:

    What's the way you added the guest? You could refer to this article.

    Have you enabled guest permissions in Teams admin center? The methods are as follows.

    1. Sign into the Microsoft Teams admin center.
    2. Select Users > Guest access.
    3. Set Allow guest access in Teams to On.

    If the above issues are ruled out, you have added the guest correctly. After you add a guest to a team, it may take a few hours before they have access.
