I can´t manage my resource groups even though I have a Office 365 A5 for faculty licence

Even tough I have a licence for office 365 A5 for teachers/faculty, I can´t manage my resource groups.
Shouldn´t I have the Azure AD Premium P2 licence included in that?

Are you trying to manage resource groups on the Azure Portal or are you referring to Office 365 resources?

Can you share screenshots of what you're seeing so I can gain a better understanding of your issue?

It´s not that there is an error, but I just can´t use the option resources groups or can´t add any resources.
And I need to correct myself, I have a Microsoft 365 A5 for faculty licence!
And I´m referring to the Azure AD resources.

Thank you for following up on this!

From our Microsoft 365 Education documentation the Microsoft 365 A5 license does come with an Azure Active Directory Basic and an Azure Active Directory P2 license.

Can you share some screenshots of what you're seeing and any error messages that you're running in to? Since you can't manage your Azure AD resources, you'll have to make sure the user you're signed in with is a Global Admin - you can do this from the Overview page of Azure Active Directory.

Because you're using the Microsoft 365 A5 License, I'd also recommend reaching out to our Microsoft 365 experts via their Microsoft 365 and Office forum.

Hey James!

I´m really sorry for catching up with you this late!
I´m currently setting up a Moodle and therefore I have a PowerShell-script, that sets up a new application in Azure.

That´s the screen I get after clicking on "resourcegroups".

That´s the error in PowerShell.

That´s my personal profile. I gave myself the rights of a global admin and can´t change it to anything else then guest and tenant in case that this might cause a problem.

That is the profile of the company I´m working for and its licence.

I hope that helps somehow, because I can´t really pinpoint the problem exactly.

Thank you for following up on this!

After selecting Resource Groups, if your organization already has Resource Groups deployed:

Can you make sure you're in the correct Tenant? For more info - Switch and manage directories.

If you're in the correct Tenant, can you make sure your tenant is associated with a Subscription? You can do this through the Subscriptions page in Azure portal.

When it comes to Resource Groups in Azure, this is separate from Azure AD and will require you to have an Azure Subscription to deploy resources. For more info - What is the difference between an Azure tenant and Azure subscription?
