help with executive assistant slowness on Outlook Desktop App
let's dive right in
we have EAs who have been experiencing severe slowness and freezing with outlook, this looks to happen when they open multiple calendars when scheduling meetings or trying to accept invites on behalf of the executives they support.
we can't seem to narrow down a good way to improve performance and overall have been told the following from Ms:
- limit the number of calendars you have in your calendar list
- limit the number of full access mailboxes you have
- limit the number of windows of outlook you have open
currently, we are in a hybrid environment with on-premise exchange 2016 and exchange online. all of our users are on exchange online, outlook is configured for cache mode, unsure if calendars also follow cached mode because of this. currently using office 365 suite fully updated.
The laptop fleet is intel i7, with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of HDD space, currently Dell Latitude 7400 series in circulation.
even after these suggestions and trying to limit them users still have consistent freezing where they wait several seconds, anyone have thoughts if it might be something on-prem causing this or any options we have/could try?
