Hello,
I just installed Windows Server 2019 Data Center, I added two windows 8.1 clients to the domain. After I done that I logged onto the domain and the desktop that was there was completely gone along with other programs that were removed, Office 2016, Norton anitvirus along with pictures and documents. I have searched the registry and the windows folder along with the hard drive(s) and these programs are completely gone. Is there anyway that I can recover these programs?

What happens if you logon locally? pcname\useraccount. Most likely the shortcuts are profile specific. Logon once as the new domain user so the new profile gets created, then logon as another user with local admin rights, navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

find the new domain profile and point the expand string ProfileImagePath to the old profile.
