Nothing built-in, no. The sender will get notified of course
Send alert for size limit
Our users occasionally receive emails with large attachments. I've set separate size limits for inbound and outbond emails, but I discovered that all inbound emails were being caught by the outbound limit when transferring within our server. Is there a way to send an alert to the intended recipient when this happens?

As Andy says, there is no built-in setting to send alerts to intended recipients.
Do you know whether the original sender received an NDR ?
As a workaround, you could refer to the following articles to forward the NDR to your postmaster.
