As per Microsoft, the Basic Authentication for Exchange Online is deprecating by October 1st. Would SharePoint Online be impacted by this deprecation?

We have few CSOM projects using username/password combination to connect with SharePoint Online. Would these projects be impacted? Please let us know

    There is an example in that question which you can use to authenticate.

    The deadline is only for Exchange Online, it does not directly affect SPO. However, you can expect basic auth to be deprecated in SPO too, eventually. So best start updating your solutions to use more modern methods.
    That said, no deadline has been communicated yet, afaik.
