I am trying to connect our fortis client to the database and I keep getting an error that the database doesn't exist. I logon to the database server and into mssqlms 2008 I am able to connect to the server and see all the databases but when I view the connection properties I get server is unavailable248192-server-unavailable.jpg

I have checked the services and the configuration manager to ensure that tcp/ip was enabled and this server used to work I am not able to figure out what broke
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi @hotrodjeremy1977 ,

Please restart the SSMS and reconnect to this SQL server instance. Then check the connection properties again. And please check the connection properties of this SQL server database.

In addition, SQL server 2008 is out of supported for many years, please upgrade your SQL server to a newer version.
