Revert unassigned state of a VM (Standard_B2ms)

I have a VM with current "Stopped (unassigned)" status and there is no way to power it up so we can run it back again.

I need to recover prior running state of this VM with same network and disk configuration, is there a simple way to accomplish such a thing? I am stuck with error referring to "generalized VM cannot initiate" every time I try to start up the VM.

Best regards,

Mark

    Hello @Admin EnterByte ,
    Welcome to Microsoft QnA.
Did you take a snapshot of the VM's OS disk before generalizing the VM?
I am assuming your tried to sysprep the VM correct?
If you have manually taken a snapshot or created a backup of the VM from a point in time before generalizing the VM, only then can you recover the VM from prior state.
    Hope that information helps.
