3rd Party SSO after migration from G-suite to M365

Hello everyone,

A client is looking to migrate from G-suite to M365.

Currently his users sign in to sites like Figma and Gitlab with SSO and, obviously, have data associated with their accounts.

After migration, he wants to sign in to these sites using SSO with Azure AD.

Let's say he used user@USER .com until now. This account now migrates to Azure AD.

After migration he tries to sign in to Figma as user@USER .com.

Will Figma know he is the same user and give him access to the data he has there or will it see him as a new user?

Thanks for your help.

    Hi @Vassilis Klissouras

You will need to do a few things:

    1) Assign control over user.com domain to Azure (Microsoft 365).

Migrate consumer Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) mailboxes to Microsoft 365 or Office 365

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mailbox-migration/migrating-imap-mailboxes/migrate-g-suite-mailboxes

    2) Configure an Enterprise Application for SSO for Figma/Gitlab and all other SaaS that utilize SSO in your environment.

Tutorial: Azure Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) integration with Figma

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/saas-apps/figma-tutorial

    3) Configure your SaaS (Figma/Gitlab) to point to Azure AD for SSO authentication.

SAML SSO with Azure Active Directory

    https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040532413-SAML-SSO-with-Azure-Active-Directory

Once this has been completed, Figma will now look for Azure AD SSO authentication.
