Hi,

We are using Office365-based applications (business basic) and we have Microsoft Office 2013 and Microsoft Office 2016.

We have a domain (Active Directory) based environment and a separate Windows Update Server on which we release Windows updates from time to time.

Some of the users complained to us about two points and we have no clue about these points.

  1. Office Background was "No Background" but suddenly it changed to "Calligraphy" without use of information/permission
  2. If we upload / set/change the profile picture in the Office365 portal it only impacts Outlook 2013 / Outlook 2016 applications but other Office Applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint did not change so we do have proper clarification about this behavior.

    Hi, @Osama Mansoor

For the work/school accounts ( the account related to Office 365 for Business services) create in Office portal or the accounts created in local AD which don't ADFS enabled, the profile photos cannot be synced to the local applications (except Skype for business and Outlook).

We would like suggest you submit your submit your feedback via feedback. It's the best way to help our related team know the situation and make improvement to products.
