Create Function-App Switzerland North Free Tier

Question

Hi,

for evaluation I tried to create a azure function app in Switzerland North - with my free tier account.

Runtime: NodeJs 16
OS: Windows or Linux
Plan: Consumption

I always get "The scale operation is not allowed for this subscription in this region. Try selecting different region or scale option.".
But I'm not able to find any indications why this should be restricted? - this would be the only thing running in this account.

I this excluded in the free subscription?

Azure Free Tier does have several limitations. Unfortunately, but reasonably, you do not have full access to all locations / regions / scales. So therefore it seems to be true, that you can not create the wanted resource in Azure Switzerland. North Region.

To validate, try to create the resource in West Europe and check the result.
