Dynamic Mapping for Flatten Activity

Hey Hey,

In flatten dataflow activity my unroll by and unroll root would always remain same irrespective of the parameters which i provide & only the mappings / output columns would differ. Is it possible to have a dynamic mapping created & mapping passed as a parameter value rather than importing it.

    Hi @Rohit ,
Thankyou for using Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your question here.
As per my understanding , you want to know if there is any possibility to perform dynamic mapping in flatten transformation in mapping dataflow. Kindly let me know if my understanding is incorrect.

The flatten transformation supports Rule-based mapping allowing you to create dynamic and flexible transformations that will flatten arrays based on rules and flatten structures based on hierarchy levels.

You can also use parameter and pass the column names or any matching pattern in the expression .

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
