I have ordered several brand new Supermicro servers for my company. I installed Windows 11 Enterprise 22h2. However, whenever I try to encrypt the drive using Bitlocker, I continue to get an error message that states "This request is not supported." The TPM is 2.0. I am at my wit's end after hours of googling to no avail. Per security requirements, I HAVE to be able to encrypt the hard drives on these systems.
If you use the GUI, try the command line, instead, and share the output.
manage-bde -on c: -used -rp
brand new Supermicro servers
The server manufacturer will be your best resource for problems with your new hardware.

I have contacted the manufacturer and they are claiming it is a "Microsoft problem." I am not sure I agree, but I am attempting to tap any and all resources that I can. I am also just trying to determine WHY I am getting that error message in the first place. If I knew the cause, I am fairly confident I should be able to find a solution to my issue. For further details, when I load Windows 10 enterprise or Server 2019, I can encrypt with bitlocker with the same hardware no problem. The problem only seems to exist when running Windows 11.
Just throwing it out there but have you looked in evntvwr to gather more details?

So I checked the link that you posted, and the powershell command output is what it is supposed to be according to the article. Also, I switched to a different NVMe drive and installed WIndows 11 Enterprise, and was able to encrypt with no problems. This leads me to believe it might be a compatibility issue between the original NVMe drive and Windows 11. I am attempting to investigate further. If it would be helpful, I can post the make and model of the NVMe drive in question.
You may have uncovered something here. I'd suggest reaching out to the hardware manufacturer or in their forums about this.
