Unable to connect to adls gen2 from azure ml workspace

Hi,

I tried to create datastore in azure ml to connect to adls gen2. I have created app registration and used those client id and secret id. I also assigned the required permission [ storage blob data owner for the client id] in the resource group where the adls gen2 is located

But still I am not able to access the data. Please suggest me what further I have to do

@Anonymous Using the same service principal are you able to access the data from sources other than Azure ML workspace?
I think while adding the datastore from adls gen2 using azure ml UI it will not validate the access to the underlying data source with the provided service principal client id and credentials. If you are unable to access the same from other sources, then Azure ML workspace also will not be able to use the same.

You could also probably check the scope of assignment of the service principal when you added it through resource group IAM. You could try to add the same role to service principal directly on the storage resource and check if it works.

Thanks for the reply. The issue is resolved now

I have mentioned the path wrong and datastore also couldn't directly read my data

Then I came to know that path name should starts after the file system name. After changing my path [ similar to source-data/abc.csv] it worked fine
