A few things you could try:
Disable screensaver
Run the Performance Troubleshooter
Switch to the Basic Theme
Update display drivers
Troubleshoot in Clean Boot State
Is it normal for Desktop Windows Manager to use a lot of GPU?

I believe my PC specs are still good... So I'm not sure why DWM.exe is such a resource hog. I've done a clean install of NVIDIA driver and updated my drivers several times but this seems pretty consistent. I'm just not sure if it should be using so much GPU, it seems like my games & programs run fine either way. Could this be a sign of an undetectable virus?

My performance troubleshooter says it's disabled.

In Start Search type Gpedit.msc and hit the enter key.
In the GP Editor navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Troubleshooting and Diagnostics > Scripted Diagnostics. Enable the policy.

2022-11-09T18:44:56.967+00:00 I've tried all of the above. It's not getting any better. It's done it for a while now I wouldn't even know which NVIDIA drivers to go back to anymore. Seems to be an issue Microsoft is ignoring.

MotoX80 36,901 Reputation points2022-11-09T22:29:47.28+00:00 Start by closing applications that might be trying to draw something on the screen. Epicgameslauncher and Epicwebhelper to start with. Then Chrome, News, and Search. Kill processes if you have to. From what I have read, DWM (unless you're infected with some bitcoin miner) isn't going to use the GPU for itself, it's on behalf of some other app.
Shut them down one by one and check GPU usage to see if it's changes.
