In Azure VMWare Solution what are the ways to know if a node is down

I'm doing some monitoring of an AVS solution and, other than looking for items in the forwarded VMWare syslog, is there a better way to get an alert if an AVS cluster node goes down?

Thanks,

Iain

    Hello @Babeu, Iain ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to answer your question.

You can Enable Azure Monitor for AVS as described in the following link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-vmware/integrate-azure-native-services#enable-azure-monitor

Resource health and Service health are two azure monitor services that provides insights into this type of issues for which you can configure alerts as per the steps mentioned in this document Link

    More Details:
Azure Monitor can collect data from different sources to monitor and analyze and different types of data for analysis, visualization, and alerting for resource and service health related issues.
You can also create alert rules to identify issues in your environment, like high use of resources, missing patches, low disk space, and heartbeat of your VMs. You can set an automated response to detected events by sending an alert to IT Service Management (ITSM) tools. Alert detection notification can also be sent via email.
