Hello,

I need help with Azure Virtual Desktop licensing. I have one customer with WVD. I created for a wizard configuration, host pools is pooled for 100 users, size VM is D16 v4 (16 vCPU(s), 64 GB RAM OS 10 Etnterprise vor virtuallization desktop with reservation 3 years

I don't understand licensing, what do I need for proper licensing? Customers are not licensed for M365 Business Premium, E3/E5, etc, but the service runs without restrictions. Clients are connected to the remote application and working.

PS: I have read all possible articles and recommendations.

Thank you for response

    Hi

    see the table below:

    Source - https://www.parallels.com/blogs/ras/microsoft-vdi-licensing/

As you've seen, per-user is only really relevant for external users if you do not have the relevant on-premises or M365 E3/E5/Business Premium licensing:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/remote-app-streaming/licensing#comparing-licensing-options

I would echo what @Andreas Baumgarten has said above - make sure you either contact Azure Sales directly or else engage with your licensing partner or CSP to answer your queries and make sure you are fully covered for what you want to do on AVD.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks

    Hi @BK ,

please check the pricing details of AVD:
    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/virtual-desktop/

Basically, you have to pay for the infrastructure /compute costs (your screenshoot) + the "Virtual Desktop User Access Rights" licenses (screenshot below).

    Hi @BK ,

you can get a one-on-one guidance on Azure pricing here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/contact-sales/

In my opinion that is the best and reliable source to get your licensing questions sorted.

    Hello @andreas Baumgarten,

    Thank you for your answer.

Just for understanding, the minimum Access license is VDA per user for Windows 10, if you don't want to use M365 apps, don't you use the E3/5, Business Premium license?

How is Windows 10 VDA licensed per user? How to buy it?

    Thank you for answering.
