Disk2VHD via CMD no VSS option

When using Disk2VHD from the command line, it seems there is a bug that we have to provide a parameter, while there is no parameter to use vss for the image.

Based on the help and documentation it seems when using no parameter it uses VSS, even the examples show without any parameter, but actually trying to run parameter-less results in the help dialog opening up.

Is there any news regarding this problem?
At least the parameter "-x" for creating VHDX files seems to work.
Is there another undocumented parameter for using VSS?

I'm having the same problem you can get the script to run with -c but that does not enable vss its just a straight copy. There must be another parameter (or not) I cant find any information Also you dont need the -x param to create a .vhdx file you just need to change the file extension from .vhd to .vhdx that you save to.

It's been almost four years since the last update – four years without a command-line VSS option.
Surprising that no one seems to need it, or that so few have noticed.
How can one get in touch with Mark Russinovich or the Sysinternals team?

I am just running accross this now - with so many sites on the internet suggesting using Disk2VHD they all seem to suggest that you can use the command line but in all the examples they are using the GUI.

I can confirm that this is a bug that even their example on their pop-up usage page example;

disk2vhd c: d:\vhdfile.vhd

does not work,

Wish they would put this as open source so that people could fix the issue. This doesn't seem to be such a hard issue to fix.
