Hey

I tried to install Microsoft Visual C++ Build tools.
The installer stops a while after starting the installation and pops up a message that the installation package is missing or corrupted. I downloaded the installer again but that didn't help. I disconnected the Internet and tried to install - to no avail. Seriale key is correct. What can I do in this situation?

    Hi @maksnowicki ,

If I understand correctly, you are trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ Build tools which is related to Visual Studio 2015 or older web installer right? If so, I think the Installer you downloaded from website is a web installer, which means it needs network connection to download and install, but even if you connect to network, it is not available.

See this document: UPDATE: SHA-1 signed content to be retired.

On April 26, 2021, Visual Studio 2015 and older web installer files were removed from the Microsoft Download Center. These products can be installed from ISO images available at Downloads - Visual Studio Subscriptions Portal.

So please kindly check if you can find and download the ISO images of Microsoft Visual C++ Build Tools here: Downloads - Visual Studio Subscriptions Portal. If it doesn’t exist, then if it is acceptable, you may try to install VS 2015 to use related features, as a workaround.

    Feel free to contact us.

    Sincerely,
    Tianyu
