How does Azure Advisor calculate the recommended quantity of reservations for VMs? Several of the suggested recommendations are for VMs that are currently not deployed in the environment.
E.g.:
Recommended quantity: 5
Currently deployed virtual machines: 0
Standard_B2ms virtual machines in norwayeast

I have read this, but it still doesn't make fully sense to me. I have several recommendations for VMs that are currently not deployed, and some of them haven't been deployed for the last 30 days (the look-back period). Why do I get recommendations for reservations for these VMs?

When you say, not deployed does that mean the VMs haven't been running or in stopped/deallocated state? If your resources are shut down regularly, the simulation won't find any savings, and no purchase recommendation is provided. If you still see azure advisor calculations for the specific resources, I recommend reaching out to azure technical support team to debug the issue.
