My domain name is neither a business or school organization. Why must Microsoft think so?

How do I tell Azure that my personal domain name is not an organization or school?
M$ won't allow me to make changes to my own stuff that I own because my domain owns me.

Not sure I get your question, but it seems there is not issue with your Domain name and linked to your personal account? If you would like to clarify and update I will suggest you to raise a support case.
Also check this thread for renaming or updating Tenant name if that helps.
