Microsoft Word suddenly closed and deleted my file

I was writing the draft of my paper and suddenly there was an error message occurred and closed my document.

When I try to re-open my draft, I cannot find it anywhere on my Mac. During writing, I constantly saved it every few minutes.

I checked all folders and the auto-recovery location and the trash folder but still cannot see it.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do? I have been working on that draft for a really long time now.

    If none of these work, then I am afraid your file is gone.

    Unfortunately, none of these work for me : (
