Hello!

I am new to using Microsoft Azure, and I wanted to learn more about the Database services it offers. I am currently following the very first tutorial of the SQL Database service (" Provision an Azure SQL database to store application data"), and I am trying to follow the steps of the very first exercise to create an Azure SQL Database.

When I click on SQL Database to create it, it gets stuck loading. I cleared cookies and reloaded the page to see what it could be, but it keeps happening. I am assuming it might be my hardware or perhaps I do not have access to this service with my student account. Does anyone know what it could be? Thanks in advance for your advice.

You do have access to create Azure SQL Databases with your student account as my students at the university use that type of account for my classes. Please make sure you register on Azure for Students with email account (.edu) you use at the university/college.

If you are doing this from where you take classes or from a protected network some security policies may be blocking you. Try to connect from a different place or create a virtual machine (VM) on Azure and do the lab using the Web browser on the VM.
