Compose button has disappeared from Outlook

The compose button has disappeared from Outlook. How do I get it back?
I’m on a Mac.
It was visible last night. Now just gone.

Can you show us a screenshot of what you are seeing? Also can you tell us what version?

File > Office Account > About Outlook

I have the same problem
Why would I mean new mail? That is mail to read. I want to compose mail and send it. Why is that not an obvious selection
