I am coding in Visual studio and I have "staged changes" that need to be committed to upload to GitHub but my "Commit Staged" button is greyed out and now allowing me to click it thus not allowing me to commit my changes

    Hi @Eli Williams ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Which version of Visual Studio are you using?

I tested on VS2022 version 17.4.1 and it works normally. Please update your VS to the latest version and try again.

Before clicking on “Commit Staged”, you need to enter a message to describe your staged changes.

For more details, you can refer to: How to create a commit.

    Sincerely,
    Anna
