Forest discovery failed

I have added another trusted forest under AD Forests Discovery and already extended AD schema. In the extadsch.log, it shows successfully extended AD schema. But the publishing status in the console still shows failed. Anything is missing?

    Hi,

The System Management Container is not created automatically when you extend AD. Please check if the System Management Container is there or not. If it is not there, create it manually and delegate permissions as needed. Please refer to:
    Installing Prerequisites for Configuration Manager
Note: The non-Microsoft link is just for your reference.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,
    Simon

+1 to @Simon Ren-MSFT 's answer, however, note that "forest discovery" per your title is unrelated to the schema extension or the creation/existence of the Systems Management container.

    Hi,

Thanks for Jason's correction. Can we find any useful information in the ADForestDisc.Log?

    Best regards,
    Simon
