Outlook 2016 keeps freezing and gets a popup "Outlook is trying to retrieve data from Microsoft Exchange-server outlook.office365.com"

Hi Team,

We have been having issues with outlook 2016 while drafting email or opening a email or randomly it freezes and we get a pop-up "Outlook is trying to retrieve data from Microsoft Exchange-server outlook.office365.com".

Can you please help fixing this issue? Let me know if you need anything else?

    Have you tried to create a new Outlook profile?

    Do other users in your organization encounter the same issue?

    Based on my research, i found an article introduces the similar error as yours and related resolution. Please first make sure you have upgraded your Outlook 2016 to the latest version. And then, please try the following steps:

    (Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before making changes, back up the registry to restore it in case something goes wrong.)
