Outlook Android app broken after update 4.2243.1 on Samsung devices

I can see that numerous people are having the same issue after update 4.2243.1. When you launch outlook for android it will just crash and return back to the home screen of the tablet / mobile. As a business we use all Samsung mobiles and tablets, the app is deployed via Intune / Play store.

The usual trouble shooting methods have been tested, clearing the cache, updates etc to no avail. Has anyone had a direct update from MS who is having similar issues? version 4.2244.0 from the 16/11/2022 hasn't resolved the issue.

This is also happening on any new builds we create; we had some new Samsung A13 phones (5 of them) that the app was installed to, and the same error occurs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hey. I am not certain but the same happened with me before, after which I factory reset my phone and installed all the apps again. Luckily it started to work properly after that. It was probably a bug right after update that might have gone after factory reset.

    Hope this works for you!

    Reminder: Since the whole phone data will be cleared, it's better to create a backup of the important stuff.

    Seriously becasue of an os update to make Outlook work again nezd to factory reset ???That is not acceptable!
