Hello Team,

I have following queries

  1. Whether DNS zones in AWS can be imported into Azure DNS
  2. How to sync DNS zones between AWS and Azure if customer has a DNS in AWS

Would like to know the feasibility and any steps or documentation around the same.

    Hi @Raviraj Velankar ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.
I understand that you would like to sync your DNS Zones hosted in AWS and Azure.

I could not find any docs explaining if we can directly set-up a sync between these two services.

However, you can always Import/Export a DNS Zone file using Azure CLI
You can use this CLI command to sync the zones exported from AWS

    Note:

    • Since your DNS zone is currently hosted by a partner/3rd party service, they'll have a way for you to download the DNS zone file. Please check with AWS on this part.
    • Currently, importing zone files via Azure PowerShell or the Azure portal is not supported.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Kapil
