I tested in my lab and it was the same behavior.
To me I suppose the possible cause here may be:
The Teams channel emails are managed by the Teams mailhook tenant(amer.teams.ms) and also powered by EOP (Exchange Online Protection).
The redirected email may be marked as spam by EOP and not delivered to the channel as expected.
If possible I would suggest creating a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center for further investigation.
