Folks - I can't find a setting in Teams anymore for time zone. I'd like to avoid changing time zones per my phone and laptop settings as it confuses some customers I'm constantly talking to on Teams

Thanks

    Hi @Jake Sokol
Time zones for Microsoft Teams cannot be adjusted within the program. You will need to adjust time zones in Office 365 to apply those changes to Microsoft Teams. Once the changes have been applied, Microsoft Teams will automatically adjust the time zones based on what is required.

    • Firstly, open Office 365.
    • Now click on “Settings,” which is illustrated by a gear icon.
    • Under “Language and time zone,” select “Change your language.”
    • Now click on the option for “Settings and privacy.”
    • From there, click on the option for “Language and region.”
    • Under “Regions,” select the option for “Time zone.”
    • After that, click on “Change time zone.”
    • Choose one of the time zones and then click on “Select.”
    • Close the panel to end the process.

Actually while my first comment is usually adequate, Teams is showing the working hours that are active for the calendar. So to really solve this you should also check the calendar setting. So goto calendar settings while in Outlook settings. Then check what time zone is set for the calendar. If it is different than that for Outlook it will give you an option to sync both Outlook and calendar time zone or you can set it manually. After a bit of time the different timing in Teams will be gone. I trust this is a solution as I have applied it to over 4k users. Admittedly I did use Powershell but it can be set in OWA.

How exactly do I open Office 365? I don't see any Windows app for that. Also Teams usually posts the message and that's it but when I returned from travel, it posted a message with my name and time stamp like this along with my message. This showed the receiver that I am in a time zone where it's 7:48pm and I'd rather not have it do that. Any way to avoid it?

    [7:48PM] MY NAME

Why does Microsoft feel they HAVE to make unnecessary changes just for the sake of making changes? The time and date changes are luidicrous. Where is Eastern standard time? Where is New York? WHY IS THERE NO GRAPHIC OF A GLOBE?
