Heartbeat discovery means the device is online and sending data.
no sure what SNS_MIGRATION_MANAGER is? but a quick search says, https://www.snssystem.com/services/data-migration.html
ad discovery means it is in ad.
so...
Deleted computer keeps reappearing in SCCM
I have found that a computer that was deleted from SCCM and AD keeps reappearing. We've deleted it multiple times from SCCM but it keeps coming back despite not being in AD and not being online.
The discovery agent is "MP_ClientRegistration" alone whereas other devices show that and "SMS_AD_SYSTEM_DISCOVERY_AGENT", "Heartbeat Discovery", and "SNS_MIGRATION_MANAGER".
I have right-clicked and selected Delete and removed it via Remove-CMDevice via Powershell but it returns regardless.
We do not use AD Forest Discovery nor Network Discovery but do use the others.
Why would this device keep coming back?

2022-12-06T09:09:02.897+00:00 From the information provided by @Garth and @Garth Jones, it is possible that this device was provided through Heartbeat discovery.
You can check whether the device still has the SMS Agent Host service running. If so, manually uninstall the SCCM client.
If the device is still there, you can try disable Heartbeat discovery to check if the device is still there. But we don't recommend it.

According to your description, I have down some research. To achieve your goals, you can create a new OU and move the devices you want to delete to the new OU. Then run System Discovery. After making sure that the device will no longer appear in SCCM, you can delete the new OU in AD.

2022-12-05T16:13:02.023+00:00 I guess I was not clear.
1) The devices are not in Active Directory yet they keep getting "discovered" by SCCM.
2) Devices that should be in SCCM show "SMS_AD_SYSTEM_DISCOVERY_AGENT", "Heartbeat Discovery", and "SNS_MIGRATION_MANAGER" in the Agent Name field.Devices that keep being "discovered" despite having been deleted from SCCM and AD have "MP_ClientRegistration" alone in the Agent Name field.

2022-12-05T17:30:48.16+00:00 If they only show "MP_ClientRegistration", it means that the device is online and talking to ConfigMgr.
