Promoting Search Results

Question

Hi,

I like to change the ranking results for the search function in the main hub site and all other sites. We host many files and I like to rank my search results by having the top results assigned to when the "Filename:{SearchBoxQuery}"

I have tried writing a new query and I removed the fire conditions (to basically gets applied to any search keyword), and then tried both "Add promoted results" and "change ranked results" but I can't get it to work.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do make this work

Could you provide some screenshots about your configured Query Rule settings? Otherwise I can't know your situation.
Below is my test:

Confirm the information with you:

• What level are you setting up at? Is it done at the site or site collection or at the entire tenant level(in SharePoint admin center)?
  
• If you set query rules in SharePoint Admin Center,if you've only tested the main hub site and it doesn't work, are the other associated sites working for it? I'm asking this because query rules with promoted results are deprecated for organization scoped queries.

• Make sure you have selected the appropriate search source.
  eg.We usually use Local SharePoint Results as source, you can try to switch to Documents source.
