If users aren't signing out but just closing the RDP window, the session will not be closed and count towards the limit.
Also, this isn't a supported configuration, and a breach of licensing. You might want to look into Azure Virtual Desktop for a solution.
Unable to login to vm
- I am not using any RDS roles or licenses in vm
- Server has 3 active users.
- I modified value in this path Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Connections->Limit no of connections to 2 and limited the no.of users in server to two users.
4. After one day I tried to login to vm, but was unable to connect to vm. After entering Username and password in rdp getting error as " The number of Connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use". On this day only one user tried logging but getting the error. Also 3 users are uanble to login
5. Again, next day, in first two attempts I was unable to log in but later i was able to RDP and then I reverted changes to a local group policy.
OS version: Windows 10 Enterprise
Could you please help me to find what is the cause of the issue.
