Intune does not allow automatic updates on a per-application basis in VPP-based application distribution scenarios. This is a feature that many MDM solutions implement, but Intune does not allow individual configuration because it is configured when the VPP token is registered. I would like to see this feature implemented as there are many business scenarios where we would like to configure auto-renewal settings on a case-by-case basis.

Honestly, there is no method to change the current behavior. If you are interested in it, it is suggested to post in intune feedback portal. It is a place to collect customers' requirements and problems. Here is the link:
