SCOM \ SCSM and SQL Edition query

Ive joined a project which has SCOM and SCSM hosted on SQL Server 2016 Enterprise Edition, with 2 Always On Availability Groups (one for each); including each products DW workloads I believe ..wasn't involved in the original design!).

Customer is looking to down-grade the SQL Server Editions from Enterprise to Standard (as the wrong Edition was used at install time, and the cost of paying for the Enterprise Edition is prohibitive).

I believe we will be limited to 1 database in a SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition Availability Group? and if so, is this possible as a config for SCSM DW databases (aka multiple Always On Groups per SCSM DW databases)??

Curious if others have been through this pain, or can offer some additional thoughts \ insights into likely pain points.. and if indeed its supported.

Many thanks, kind regards
Andrew
