My user A using her computer A. No drive letter mapped. Waited over 2 hours for a GPO refresh still no luck.
She said drives mapped successfully if she uses Aruba (hardware VPN) at home using her computer A.
She logon from my computer B. All drives mapped successfully. Seems not user account related.
I logon with my account from her computer A. All drives mapped successfully. Seems not computer related.
Ran gpresults and the GPO indicated as applied.
Checked event logon and looks like no error
"The Group Policy settings for the user were processed successfully. There were no changes detected since the last successful processing of Group Policy." EventID 1501
Checked our two user accounts are in the same OU and two computer objects also in the same OU.
Both computers are using DHCP with same DNS server.
Both computers are on the same Windows 10 21H2 build 19044.2130.
With her account, tested she has access permission to the mapping path using file explorer.
Any idea? Please help.
There should be Group Policy event for network map occurance. I noticed that these common events about processed successfully / not changed / applied 18 new settings means jack s...t sometime :D
So, keep looking on that event viewer.
Hi yanbnara, Do you know the event ID that I should apply the filter? I filtered source "Group policy (Windows group policy)' ...something like that but couldn't find any. I also tried from my computer (with drive mapped) also couldn't find an event about drive mapping.
No sorry. Easiest is to clean all events, restart machine, login with user and start lookin every event in Application and System node. Done that thousand of times, takes 15 min :)

It seems okay now but not 100% sure if the action below really did the job.
'net use' command showed all drives mapping, but file explorer did not show any of them. I entered the drive letter in file explorer but cannot access to them.
So, use 'net use /delete' to delete those mapped drive letters and reboot the machine. It backed okay.
I suspected she had those drive letters manually mapped in the past somehow. That prevented the policy to map the drive.
But still one weird thing I still cannot fix it.
On her computer, I tried disconnect a drive letter and ran 'gpupdate /force' which completed successfully but disconnected drive letter not re-mapped.
With one user only, you could wipe her local user profile (be aware that this is serious action which will make computer to her like new), and see if that helps. Maybe she has something in her cached user data which just breaks this.
