Hi

Please advise if the below method to migrate standard azure firewall to Premium is place and can be used already?

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.
I understand that you would like to know if Upgrading from Standard Firewall to Premium is supported or not.

I checked this internally and it appears "Single Click Migration" is in Preview.
While this will work, it is not recommended for Production workloads.

Currently, you can follow Migrate to Azure Firewall Premium

In case you are having classic Rules, you will be first required to upgrade them to Standard Policy.
Then, you have to use the script provided in the docs to create a new Premium Policy from Standard Policy
Post this, you can migrate the VNet Hub or Secure vHUB as per the commands provided.

Additional question can you please Reconfirm if we migrate with single click migration, does firewall retain retain the IP addresses?

If we rebuild from scratch, does the firewall retain the Public IP Addresses?

We do not have a public facing ETA as of now.

I would say the chances are very slim

Can you please Reconfirm if we migrate with single click migration, does firewall retain the IP addresses?
Yes. The public IP should be same as before

If we rebuild from scratch, does the firewall retain the Public IP Addresses?

The Public IP is a standalone resource.

Standard Public IP addresses always retain the IP address with which they were created.

And only a Standard Public IP can be assigned to Azure Firewall.

So this means, the IP address will not chance throughout the lifetime of the Standard Public IP Address resource
