As a Sharepoint Tenant Administrator what is our role if are going for thrird party vendor cloud back up solution

Hi All

we have a huge retention policies tenure .i.e. 10 years, due to coverage the M365 storage and cost considerations ,client would like go with Veeam cloud backup solution for M365 . As a SharePoint Tenant Administrator what is our role and tasks, do we need to take any prior actions here ?
