How to delete Azure AD without global administrator account

I tried to delete an Azure AD tenant following this instructions:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/enterprise-users/directory-delete-howto

I deleted all users (except one (global ?) admin), cancelled all subscriptions and everything was working fine.
Then i had to wait 72 hours for the subscriptions to become "deprovisioned" so i can finaly delete the tenant.

Now if i want to login into azure to finally delete the tenant i get the following error: (translated from german)

"You do not have access to this
Your login was successful, but you do not have permission to access this resource
"

And the error code 53003

I guess i unintentionally deleted the global administrator account - but how was i able to cancel and delete everything else with the same account i try to login now ?

And more importantly - how can i delete the tenant ?
I'm pretty sure that this was the last account in the tenant.

    @Florian Hummer
    Thank you for your post!

    Error Message:
Your login was successful, but you do not have permission to access this resource

From your error message, it looks like your login was successful, but you might've been redirected to a resource within Azure that you don't have access to,or was deleted when you followed the Delete a tenant in Azure Active Directory documentation.

    • Can you see if navigating to the Azure Active Directory blade or any other screen within the Azure Portal still provides that error message?
    • If you're still having issues, can you share screenshots of what you're seeing?

If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue.

    Hi,

As you have lost access to the Azure Tenant and cannot login , I will suggest you to raise a support case with Microsoft on the following Global numbers.

    Hope this helps.
