I have multiple UPN suffixes in my Active Directory. I need to change default UPN suffix for an Organizational Unit from by default one to newly added UPN suffix.
Can you please help me on this ?

$Users = Get-ADUser -Filter {UserPrincipalName -like '*YOURCURRENTUPN.local'} -SearchBase ",OU=EXAMPLE,DC=YOURDOMAIN,DC=local" -Properties UserPrincipalName -ResultSetSize $null
$Users | foreach {$newUpn = $_.UserPrincipalName.Replace("YOURCURRENTUPN.local","NEWUPN.com"); $_ | Set-ADUser -UserPrincipalName $newUpn}

I got you, but it will only work for the existing users, from the next time for new users it would automatically be the default UPN and again I need to do this same scripting, right?
Isn't there any way to do it automatically permanent?
You are correct, you will need to change the UPN again, there is no way to force change the default suffix for newly created users.
Your options are to:
Either way, you need to create a new user somehow, so it is a single extra step to change the UPN.
Okay. I wanted an automatic process as I require this for a migration projcet, I think there is no option to do what I need.

I tried this but only added the alternative UPN but kept the first UPN as the default. What I didn't have the UPN exact, I used currentupn instead CURRENTUPN. Once I ran it using the uppercase syntax it worked. Thank you.
