SharePoint 2019 people column display name issue post upgrade from SharePoint 2016 (On PRem)

Hello,

Recently we upgraded SharePoint 2016 to 2019 and still continued with the existing look and feel for list as classic.

here for some of the lists, we see that the person we have added in the list under people picker are showing incorrect person display name but when we click on the person name it goes to the correct person profile where it should be.

Another observation: when we filter the column of people with one specific person (it shows correct value) but when it show the result in the list view grid, it shows the incorrect person display name.

Our Nintex workflows are also sending email to wrong person which is mentioned in the display name.

have anyone encountered such issue?
