I'm trying to delete a bunch .dll of files from my hard drive. I'm told I need permission from system to do this? What does this mean? How can I get permission? These files are just taking up space.

Thanks

DLLs (dynamic link library files) are an important component of the operating system, also windows features, and programs use them. Deleting them is going to break something. One I just checked here has more that 40,000. Not sure how you are planning to make the decisions on which ones you'll keep but a much simpler solution may be to clean install it.
