Does getting certified with AZ-305(passed on Dec 1, 2022) will renew my AZ-104(expiring on Jan 10, 2023)?
Or do I need to renew my AZ-104 by taking the renewal assessment?

I'd try asking for help with certification renewal in dedicated forums here. (Participate\Ask A Question)

    Hi,

Yes, you still need to renew your AZ-104. It's easy to do and free, so I would recommend you go ahead and take the assessment right away, or you could study some first. If you fail your first attempt you can take it again (after reviewing some of the areas you were unfamiliar with). You don't have much time left and there have been some additions/changes since you passed the original exam.

Please read this article and watch the short video for details:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/renew-your-microsoft-certification

If you have any questions, or your expiration date doesn't update after you successfully renew, etc., you should ask a question over in the Microsoft Certification forums, as DSPatrick mentioned above. https://trainingsupport.microsoft.com/en-us/newthread?threadtype=Questions&forum=mcp

    Thanks.
