We have 2 Exchange 2016 servers on Windows 2016.
can we have these exchange servers on different physical sites behind different routers and VPN running between them
So like that

server 0 belongs to site A on network 192.168.15.0/24

server 1 belongs to site B on network 192.168.16.0/24

obviously both sites A B belong same domain domain.com with high speed VPN connection

but different physical sites of same domain

in this case outlook clients on sites A and B will have single server to connect.

PLus make DAG between server0 and 1.

is this doable?

If yes that is perfect resilience solution. if site A is devastated by tornado site B will work and keep databases.

    Hi @George Gaprindashvili ,
The method you described is doable, you need to make sure the network is connected. Please be sure to note that all servers in the DAG must be running the same version of Exchange.
You could refer to the following example, for more details: Deploying high availability and site resilience in Exchange Server
