Will Expire Cetrification considered for Prerequisite?

My Associate Certificate was expired and now I am planning for Expert Certification. Will expired certification be considered for Pre-requisite or I need to gain those certification again?

You need to try to renew them first before proceeding with the next step. Expired means Expired completely.
