Messages that were copied from Inbox ( Comcast ) to Inbox of the folder destination ( Gmail ) created a new subfolder INBOX instead of copying the contents tothe default folder of Inbox. Is there a reason behind this behavior? Please suggest how to copy the emails so that Inbox messages of Comcast will be combined with the Gmail Inbox and not create a new folder.

    Hi @365 Test Tenant ,

    Thanks for your reply!

Considering that i don't have your Comcast account, so that i can't do the same test as yours. It's suggested that you could try to add another account and do the same operation to check if there're any differences.

Based on my test on Outlook.com account and Gmail account, i cannot copy the emails from Outlook.com to Gmail by right clicking the emails>clicking "Copy to". If you always need to copy the emails to Gmail, it suggested that you could create a rule for your Comcast account to forward emails to Gmail.

    Hope to help you!

Hi @ChristyZhang-MSFT thank you so much for looking into this. There are multiple email accounts set up in Outlook for Mac. Currently, there is Comcast which contains the email and there is a google account where we want to transfer the emails. We used the 'Copy' to safely move the messages from Comcast to Google ( we plan to delete the emails once done ) now when the messages were copied to the Google, instead of these emails showing in Inbox ( we selected the Google Inbox as destination ) it created a second folder INBOX under Google default Inbox folder. We'd like to clarify if this is a normal behavior. What we aim to do is just copy the emails Inbox to Inbox between the two accounts.
