Authenticator account is grayed out and no access

I believe this issue is a result of mt denying an access request. I had access and no issues with my work account (outlook and teams) on my phone through authenticator. Then a few weeks ago I got an alert to approve an access request that was from a different city than I am in. So I denied it. I wonder if it was someone from our IT department or myself that was the access that I denied, and it just showed the wrong location.
How do I get my account back in authenticaor? It is still listed there, but is grayed out and I can't click on it. I have tried re adding the account, but it tells me that I have already used that QR code and the manual url.
I don't know how to get my work account set up to work again.

Ok so to remove from account -- is this the "unregister" ?

On my android device I navigate to Settings\Passwords & Accounts then click the account and then button for Remove Account

Sounds like you'll need to help of the work admins to reset the account so you can add it back to authenticator.

No progress. The IT team has already reset my account and I tried to add it back but it still has some sort of connection or memory because it says that I have already used that QR code before.

Before you do this you may need to remove the account from the device. On my android device I would do this in Settings\Passwords & Accounts

I unregistered --- but it still shows up on the front screen of authenticator -- just still grayed out.
