Hello,

I encounter a problem when starting 2 VMs which are under Windows sever 2016 with a failover cluster. It's 2 VMs are part of the backend pool of an Azure Load Balancer, and are also part of a Schedule Start/Stop V2, which turn off every evening and weekend and start every morning from Monday to Friday.

Almost every day, I get a startup error for one of these VMs, and I haven't found a solution, do you have a solution to avoid this error?

    @Fakri SLIMANE

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

    The ProvisioningState of a VM refers to the state of the VM during the process of being created or modified. If the ProvisioningState of a VM is "Failed", it means that there was an error during the process of creating or modifying the VM.

    There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue:

    • Check the error message or log entries for the VM to see if there are any clues as to what might be causing the issue.
    • Check the resource limits for your Azure subscription, as you may have reached the maximum number of allowed resources.
    • Check the status of the Azure services in the region where you are trying to create the VM. If there are any known issues, they will be listed on the Azure status page.

    If you continue to see this issue, it is advised to open Microsoft Azure support case so that support team will be able to check the logs and assist you further on this.

    Hope this helps.
