There is a problem with join function present in TeamsCallAgent

I have cloned the repository https://github.com/Azure-Samples/communication-services-javascript-quickstarts
and when i try to spin up the application join-calling-to-teams-meeting I face an error after giving the meeting link.
When i click on join meeting, the Application crashes with the error
SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input (at sdk.bundle.js:152:2732696)
at JSON.parse (

Hi @ARVIND MOHAN ,

I followed up the team and they informed that interop with Teams For Life is not supported on ACS. This is more than likely the error you're getting, and they indicated they would improve the error message and document that feature gap. Please feel free to comment down below the use case for joining a Teams For Life call so the team can better understand the workflow.

Thank you for your reply. As per your suggestion we started a meeting from a developer account and we are able to join the meeting from the React App.

The actual use case we have is from our application if a User has Teams account he should be able to create a Team's meeting, and join the meeting with video on. Is this possible without azure subscription and only teams subscription? If it is possible ,can you please point to the SDK that supports this.

Let me help here with the domain

Azure Communication Services provides you ability to send and receive audio and video streams from Teams meetings.

Teams client SDK allows you to understand the context for Teams apps, but does not provide audio or video stream, or call control

Graph API allow you to control call routing, but does not provide audio or video stream, or call control

In your application for MSA accounts, you can consider

Providing ACS identity for MSA account and then join Teams meeting with ACS identity from your app

Provide deep link from your app to Teams application, so that Teams client is opened

I have one follow-up question related to this.

I came across CallWithChatComposite react component, using this we can join an existing teams meeting. I am able to join Teams meeting as an **external user** by providing the ACS user_id that looks like 8:acs:45bda18d-869a-438a-ac46-71de6e999f77_00000017-3382-b97e-6665-c93a0d0002ec and user access token. Can a teams user also join an existing teams meeting using this callWithChatComposite component?
I went through Teams interoperability & Set up and manage access tokens for Teams users docs to achieve the same but I am not sure if I am following the correct docs.
Please refer me to the correct doc if it is feasible to add a Teams user to an existing Teams meeting via a custom app. Thanks in advance.

Azure Communication Services currently don't support Microsoft 365 users in CallWithChatComposite. We are finalizing support for CallComposite, but as Chat is leveraged by Graph API, ACS doesn't have specific date for CallWithChatComposite support for Microsoft 365 users.
